### Objectives:

### Lesson Structure:
- **Introduction (10 minutes)**
- Greet the students and introduce the topic: Animals.
- Ask students to name some of their favorite animals. Write their responses on the whiteboard.
- Briefly explain that animals can be classified in various ways such as by their habitats, how they move, and what they eat.
- **Instruction (20 minutes)**
- Show pictures of different animals and discuss their characteristics.
- **Mammals:** Show images of a lion, dog, and human. Explain that mammals have fur, are warm-blooded, and most give live birth.
- **Birds:** Show pictures of an eagle, sparrow, and penguin. Explain that birds have feathers, lay eggs, and most can fly.
- **Reptiles:** Show images of a snake, turtle, and lizard. Explain that reptiles have scales and lay eggs.
- **Amphibians:** Show pictures of a frog and a salamander. Explain that amphibians can live both in water and on land.
- **Fish:** Show images of goldfish, shark, and salmon. Explain that fish live in water and have gills.
- **Insects:** Show pictures of a butterfly, ant, and beetle. Explain that insects have six legs and most can fly.
- Discuss the basic needs of animals: food, water, shelter, and air.
- **Activity (20 minutes)**
- **Classification Activity:** Distribute animal flashcards to students. Ask them to classify the animals into groups (mammals, birds, reptiles, amphibians, fish, insects) and place them on the chart paper.
- **Habitat Matching:** Use the projector or whiteboard to show different habitats (forest, ocean, desert, etc.) and ask students to match animals with their correct habitat.
- **Conclusion (10 minutes)**
- Recap the main points about animal classifications and their needs.
- Ask students to share one new thing they learned about animals.
- Provide students with a simple homework assignment: Draw their favorite animal and write a short paragraph about its characteristics and habitat.
- **Evaluation**
- Observe students during the activities to ensure understanding.
- Review the homework assignment to gauge their comprehension of the lesson.
